Superb museum, well worth a visit if your in the area. My wife got to do a simulated launch with one of the two firing keys. Interesting fact that if those keys had been turned for real, there was no going back...no magic self destruct button like in the movies...just the end.............!

Really enjoyed visiting this museum, learned quite a lot about ICBM policy and operation, well worth visiting, very good tour and guide, your ONLY chance to visit a actual ICBM silo, not some hollywood mock-up !!!!!!!!!!!.

Visited the site in 1999. Great tour and the site was similar to what I remembered minus improvements made after 1972. I was a MFT on crew E054 from 70 thru 72 at sites 532-7, 2-8, and 2-9 around Wichita, KS, 381 SMW, 532 SMS. What struck me and couldn't get a handle on it for a while was the smell of the site was the same. It was amazing. Disapointed the tour didn't include level 1 and 3 of the control center, and level 8 of the silo to see the missile frow the "W". Quite an impressive sight.

Visited the museum in July 2001. Great place. Info at museum and that provided by guides was first rate. They did their homework. Brought back a lot of memories from my active duty with 381 SMW/Titan, 381 Security Police Squadron, McConnell AFB, Kansas. Spent a lot of time on the same type of silo.

WENT TO THE MUSEUM A WEEK AGO AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED. THE MUSEUM GIVES A 1 HOUR TOUR OF THE SITE WHICH INCLUDES GOING 55 STEPS UNDERGROUND TO SEE HEART OF THE SILO AND LAUNCH ROOM. A VERY INFORMATIVE AND SOMEWHAT EERIE EXPERIENCE.TO BE IN A FACILITY THAT WAS CONSTRUCTED TO DESTROY A NATION ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET, IS EERIE.

While your at Pima you have to drop by and see this. A museum of a actual Titian missile silo. Great tour, a once in a lifetime must see.

The only remaining Titan II launch complex in the world. Very interesting as a Cold War relic. Has a missile in the silo and good aboveground exhibits dealing with the history of the program and the Titan bases in Southern Arizona. The tour includes the silo and the control center.
