Floyd S. Werner, Jr. Baltimore, MD | The RU-21A was assigned to the SEMA command out of Orlando around 1982. I worked on them in Tegucegapa, Hondorus supporting missions in El Salvadore. At the time they had a goat painted on the side with a scarf that said "Lo Mongo" or Handle it. The numbers were 112, 113, 114, and 115 that I can remember. I do remember the pilots had to enter the cockpit by an overhead escape hatch as the direction finding equipment filled the back where two Spanish speaking operators controlled the radios. 02/26/2002 @ 15:24 [ref: 4409] |
