I was the linechief for A troop 4/9 Cav 6th Cav brigade when we fielded the initial batch of Ecas cobras. One of them is the one displayed in San Dieago Cal. The initial batch was numbered 77-22777 - 77 22785 our sister unit had 77-22767 - 77-22776. My personal ACFT was 77-22784 which was the stadardization ACFT for the post. Carl I Bouwens 1SG(retired)

The cobra is the best looking heilcopter in the world and I wish that the British army orderd it which would have been called the cobra venom but I guse will have to make do with
the WAH-64D Apache?

From mark.

The Huey Cobra is named for its use. The Huey goes beneth bushes and trees so it can launch its hellfire missles unnoticed. This is like the cobra snake.
