Here are some specs I found in a Boeing book I have. The only difference between the 720 & the 720B was the engines except the prototype & the first 2 UAL 720's, they had tails 40 inches shorter. The 720 had turbojets & the 720B had turbofans. The first 65 jets were 720's, the last 89 jets were 720B's.

An old friend from the 1970's, who was a former Northwest Airlines B-727 pilot, once commented about the B-720.

He stated that as [it] was a lighter and shortened B-707 yet had the same engines . . . it's performance, especially climb, was exceptional. He was sorry to see it go. He much preferred it to his assigned B-727.
