Nerf,

There is no need to ruthlessly insult other members who have posted on this site. Clearly, English is not Ellie's first language, so give him/her a break. Also, the position of flight attendant is a perfectly respectable career and ostracizing someone because of their profession is incredibly intolerable. Take it easy, we all share a common interest on this site and that is supposed to unify us, not tear us apart.

I seem to recall the width of a 727-200 landing gear to be 18'6". That's not a normal memory item for a pilot, but on occasion we would take training flights to smaller airports and the full width of taxiways were not always plowed.

I'm trying to find the width of the main gear on a 727-200.

Anybody know where this info. might be located?

Ellie,

It's a good thing you're a flight attendant - you couldn't construct a complete sentence if someone had a loaded .357 Magnum buried in your temple. I almost feel as if I lost all but 2 brain cells after I read your post. Good luck with the serving coffee and giving pilot's knobbers thing.

Cheers,

Nerf

I need some help desperately.... Why a slide on a 727-200 A/C would drop out from door, into jetway, once door was fully opened and deploy 5 minutes later, (when agent and F/A was in jetway, trying to move bag (slide) out of the way, for pax. egress, into jetway, when door was disarmed, girt bars engaged to door., after door was opened. Door was difficult to open, needed help by gate agent. F/A being blamed-F/A DID disarm her door. Noticed worned hooks (brackets) on the door that hold girt bar, during investagation.

Any facts, pictues, thoughts, experiences of this ever happening in the past?

Thank you so much.

I'd like to retract my prior posting. I rented a Cessna 172 last weekend and took my boyfriend flying, and it's now my favorite aircraft of all-time. Pure speed and grace are just two things that describe this piece of engineering genius.

I'm currently a cargo hauler out of CVG for DHL, and I'm highly impressed with the 727 in general. Before coming to DHL I was purely a A319 driver, but the 727 has swayed me a tad. I think it will be a teary-eyed day when they take the last one out of the sky for good. This plane is a workhorse and deserves a good farewell, as I have many memories on it, good and bad.

A moron? You should see the SR-71A page. That Bill Ely guy turned a nice forum into a seething volcano of discontent. He tried to convince the webmaster of this site that someone else had been posting insults towards him. The webmaster did something that now blocks most of Idaho, Colorado, Utah, and Montana from accessing the site. Such a shame.

Dick Fitzwell,

Just checked this site today after a while, and see that you are still being a moron. Why do you feel that you have to insult innocent people who are minding their own business? I hope you are having fun - as for me, you've ruined this site for me. Thanks a bunch, and the site admin will receive an email to that effect.

Mr. Cline,
Give me a break. Your father made a living designing places where people parked their asses and stunk up the rest of the aircraft. I fail to see how this should be placed as a major influence on your life. If this is all you have going for you, you may want to seek professional help. Loser.
