Joseph Otto  Las Vegas, NV | The picture of 7250 brings back many memories

In the early 1950's I was a USCG flight engineer flying on PB-1G 77249 and 77250 with the US coast Guard Detachment at Argentia, Nfld. We flew international ice patrol and air/sea rescue in the North Atlantic Most of the rescue work was on the Grand Banks. We also flew PBY aircraft for air/sea rescue and to resupply the loran stations in Greenland. Items were dropped in rubber containers and picked up by assembling a boom (think air refueling) and snagging a line hanging between two tall poles. Mostly done in crap weather at the end of a one way fiord.
I would love to have any other pictures of any of these airplanes.
