On your website listing seven serial numbers of PBY-5's, do you have the present location of serial number 08124? I flew it from Manus to Kaneohe, Hawaii July 27, 1945 through August 11, 1945 and wondered why the navy risked a crew to get this junker to Hawaii and I've often wondered where it ended up.

This is to corrct a comment previously made. The First International Ice Patrol Flight was on 6 February 1946. Also the use of aircraft was made possible by the use of the Loran navigation system which made it feasible to give the exact location of the Icebergs.
