The SO3C-2C was a variant that was adopted for "Carrier" use(the "C" in -2C). It was fitted with an arresting hook and the wing folding geometry was like that of period Grumman aircraft (i.e parallel to fuselage). Two hundred fifty-nine (259) -2C's were produced.
