Ben , TX | Aaron, why do you do this? Is there really no other way to fill the yawning void of your life than to fabricate pointless stories like this? You really are a tragic young man. 07/05/2004 @ 18:19 [ref: 7755] |
Aaron Wilmington, NC | The Curtiss XF14C-2 is an outstanding fighter for the US Navy, even though it never made it past the testing stage and the aircraft`s performance was dissapointing. 06/01/2004 @ 21:05 [ref: 7519] |
Aaron F. Robinson Wilmington, NC | Here is something I wanted to make up about the Curtiss XF14C-2.On 8 September 1943,one of the XF14C-2 prototypes crashed at Moffet Field,California during a test flight, killing the pilot. The aircraft suffered an engine failure and went into a spin. The pilot tried to bail out but he could not find a way out and the plane went down until it smashed into the ground and burned. The wreck was noted stored in a facillity at Rochester,New York. This XF14C-2 prototype was one of four prototypes built by curtiss at Buffalo New York. 06/01/2004 @ 21:02 [ref: 7518] |
John Lovett Fort Worth, TX | Howdy! Just a note, aerofiles.com has photo of the XF14C ... and a lot of others you list. Sorry that 1) you probably already knew that, and 2) I don't have a photo to send you. Who knows! Maybe they'd let you use it? Maybe I'm an idiot.
