It is my understanding that the Douglas C-54 was built on the site that was known then as Orchard Field, presently O'hare Field.

My parents had their first home in Bensenville and two other homes in Franklin Park between the years 1948 and 2001.

I'm doing a family history research project and would be interested in an arial view of Orchard Field. My parents Bensenville home was bought by the City of Chicago for the O'hare Field expansion.
There property is either part of the airport itself or the site has been developed by the factories on the south end of O'hare Field.

The Boy Scouts had an event called Scout-o-rama on the military base side of O'hare. I was a Scout as a kid and participated in this event. I'm wondering now if some of the buildings used for this event could have been part of the Douglas factory?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
