In the early 1960's Lockheed Aircraft Services in Ontario, California had a contract to overhaul C-117 and R4D-8 aircraft. I was a subcontractor for this project, recovering the control surfaces. My company, Custom Aircraft, was located in Long Beach, California.

Lockheed Aircraft lost the contract to Timco Aircraft in Texas, after president Kennedy was assinated.

I have written a book about my avation experiences and am in the process of putting in the pictures. I was looking for a picture of the C-117 to show the difference of the vertical fin and rudder from a C-47 or DC-3.
