I bought an OQ-2a target drone, kept it for several years, then donated it to the Fort Monroe Casemete Museum who later sent it to the Fort Sill air Artiliery museum. I have a lot of information and photos of the drone.

A group involving some Australians are now building models of the OQ-2A at various scales. We are looking for any information on the operation of the OQ-2A. Any help sill be appreciated.

Per [ref: 23469], I would be interested in buying the motor. Do you still have it?

Thanks

You folks might be interested to know that seven airfield within the confines of the Caribbean Air Force (CAF, predecessor to the Sixth Air Force) had been designated for use by OQ-2As by March 4, 1942. Three of these were in the Panama Sector (probably Albrook Field, France Field and Howard Field) and two each in the Puerto Rican and Trinidad Sectors.

We(the airport bums at Cleveland Municipal Airport, Cleveland Texas) have acquired an OQ-2A (Serial # 43-OQ-2A- 1826) drone manufactured by Frankort Sailplanes of Joliet Ill. It was constructed in Sept of 1943, and is powered by a Herkimer Motor model 2-69-17, engine #H130. The craft is in need of repair, we are looking for information about this drone. The only missing parts are the wing struts and rudder(and connections). It still has a servo in it and wiring. We need parts and structural information. All things considered it is in pretty good shape for being 60 years old. We want to rebuild it and fly it, any info would help.
Thanks

My Father flew R/C drones during his servive in the US Navy during WWII. He taught me the skills of flying R/C and am an avid R/C scale builder today. I am gathering data necessary to build an exact replica of the OQ3 and OQ-2A/TDD-1. Where can I obtain information and data on these aircraft?
Thanks
