| Capt. Terry D. Wiebenga Cedar Falls, IA | I was reported to Otis AFB, MA and the 554th Recon Squadron of the 553rd Recon Wing in early April 1967, one of the very first navigators assigned to this new organization. The memories of the ensuing 20 months are fresh, intense, and bring a real joy to me. An amazing cast of characters . . . a few truly brilliant and amazing, most just plain and simply good people just trying to get along and do their job, and a few totally absorbed in themselves and their perceived importance in the whole scheme of things . . .a representative sample of life in the military at that time, and society in general.

Flew 479 to IRAN inspection site in Lake City Florida, April 70. Aircraft was piloted by Capt.Downey. Had a great trip with a crew of great guys.
