I served wih vw2 from 1956-1958 at PAX RIV,Md. I made 2 tfips to the Med. Then was transferred to VW11. When VW11 went to Agentia, I stayed stateside and later mustered out of NASAnacistia,DC. All I can remember is the plane was Willy Victor 2., and made by Lockheed. The planes nickname was Loki.,the skipper was Cdr.J.J.Coonan.,and the CIC officer was Ltjg. Barthelengi. That is all I have. If sn

I served in airborne Early Warning Squadron 2, Based at Patuxent River Naval Air Test center from Feb 1955 to July 1959. VW-2 (squadron was TAD to the Med, North Atlantic, Arabian Ocean for patroling for Russian ships (and Other) and reporting locations, We had 21 aircraft in squadron and flew rotational round of three at time for a period of three months and back home for three months,

I have been unable to locate any info on my Squadron, but i think it was De-comissioned in 1962 and comissioned in 1952.

any help that could be given would be appreciated.
