Hello to all my friends. Working with a bunch of great people was the best thing about my 22 year career. While 17 years at SJ. It hard to remember everything but the best times you never forget. From my B-52 days to the KC135A days, then on to the KC10 days. The 68th will always be a part of my life that will never die. I am still in Goldsboro and working at SJ with the KC135R Tanker. I will retire next year. 42y is enough time for one company. I hope to see more people on this blog soon. Everyone, have a great day! ry

Hello Fellow Crew Chiefs and Supporters:

I remember the good old KC-10A at SJAFB days. What else could a young guy do any better than that. Although, I have moved on, I truly miss the friends and aquaintances. I still miss and smelling hyd. fluid and JP-4 in my mind. I raise my glass to all of you and God Bless the good ol' USA.

I was a crew chief on 0434 in 1980 test phase. If I remember, it was the 3rd aircraft built. Personal issues caused me to move on to Job Control, where they only made me make coffee once (I don't drink coffee)
The "job", KC 135 AR Shop, KC10 crew chief and Job Control, E4B for a year, helped me to get where I am today,

Hey guys! I was with 2 CAMS on Barksdale 81-85. Started with JD Lawrence on 0713 then with Mick Majors on 0075. Crew Chief on these planes is still the best job I ever had. CMsgt Ruby G Wright was the worst and best boss. Please email me if we served together. I'll post some of my pics later...

Former member of the 68th CAMS at Seymour Johnson, otherwise known as Shady J, working on KC-10 avionics systems. Boy, those were the days. Out of the service now but, I remember those days fondly. Never understood the logic of moving the planes to Travis and McGuire but, I guess it makes sense to somebody.
