In addition the OH-4A lost the competion to the OH-6, but eventually won it back when Bell redesigned the OH-4 into what became the OH-58 Kiowa.

There is no McDonnell-Douglas OH-4A! The OH-4A was the Bell entry into the 1962 Light Observation Helicopter competition. Hughes Tool Company, later Hughes Helicopter and much later bought by McDonnell-Douglas won the "Loach" competition with their Model 369 OH6A.
