I'm writing a novel with the extensive part of the theme surrounding the legacy of the P51 Mustang 2 seater version and I'm trying to get any data-such as technical, where based, what sort of missions was it designed for, it's capabilities.
Any Help would be appreciated!

I'm trying to locate some information. My uncle flew an F-6D Mustang off the island of Ie Shima in WWII. I'd just like to find out if there is any information just in general about his squadron(# of missions, etc.) I believe there were two "Photo-Joe" squadrons there. I've tried the AF Museum on occaison but can't seem to get any info online. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks.
