Not much difference between the "D" and the "K". My research indicates the "K" had a different prop than the "D".
Hamilton Standard made the props on the "D"s and Aeroproducts made the props for the "K". The props were interchangeable and "K"s could be found in the field with Hamilton Standard props on them as they were replaced from available stocks on hand.

My comment about the P-51K is that it had a Packard V-1650-7 V-12 inline piston engine, with a max. speed of 487mph, with the usual six .50 calliber machine guns plus 2 1000lb bombs, or ten 5-inch rockets. This info can be found on flightjounal.com
