Nevada Smith Camden, NC | The P-61 is my favorite plane! It is amazing how many pilots and WWII nuts still have never heard of the plane. It is rare one. I wish I could cut a check for $1.2M and get that P-61 in Reading airborne! 10/15/2007 @ 20:12 [ref: 18203] |
Jeff Kolln Yelm, WA, WA | I am doing a P-61 book for Specialty Press. I am looking for any good nose art shots, Pilot Manuals for the P-61C, XP-61E, and F-15, and and good side views. Give me a yell. 04/01/2007 @ 20:34 [ref: 16067] |
A.M.HERNANDEZ , CA | WILL THIS AIRCRAFT BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING DURING THE MONTH OF MAY 2007.THANK YOU. 02/28/2007 @ 22:18 [ref: 15712] |
Bill Rambow Laurel, MD | All of you P-61 enthusiasts - please stop by the "Widow's Web' http://www.maam.org/p61.html You will find the complete, up-to-date story of the ongoing P-61 Recovery and Restoration Project of the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, Reading, PA. I have posted the most recent photos and will continue to do so.
We desperately need the help of anyone who wants to see the Black Widow take to the skies once again. If we can raise the needed money - about another 1.2 million - that could be as soon as 2008. You can help by stopping by our new MAAM On-line Store to make a donation, or buy some merchandise. Either (or both ;-) will bring that day a little closer.
Thanks Bill Rambow

Dave PONTEFRACT, OTH | Hi all, i have recently fallen for this beautiful warbird of the night.I'm a freelance 3D modeller am starting to build a free 3D model for the microsoft combat flight simulator 3 game. i have books galore but what i really need is blueprints or better still engineering drawings with measurments of everything so i can get the whole aircraft perfectly correct. i live in the United Kingdom and unfortunatly there are no P-61's here to my knowledge, so any help from anywhere would be greatly appreciated and would make my work alot easier.

Tom Cross , NJ | A P-61B is in the process of being restored to flight at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum located at Reading Regional Airport (KRDG), Reading, PA. There are only 4 known to exist at this time. One is in Dayton, OH., another in storage at NASM, Washington, DC., a third in the Republic of China, and the 4th in Reading, PA. Check out www.maam.org for details on the one in Reading, PA. 01/19/2001 @ 01:16 [ref: 1410] |
A , CO | The squadron the p-61 in the R/Monogram model kit is from is the 418th Night Fighter Squadron stationed in the Pacific. 11/09/2000 @ 20:15 [ref: 1021] |
John Watson Brownsville, TX | I've recently become fascinated with the P-61. I live in deep south Texas, where information is scarce. I have both the M/Revell and Maisto replicas. It is interesting that both replicas have the same unit tail insignia. Can anyone help me find what squadron they are from. The insignia is a star in the top left corner, a red strip with white outline runs from lower left to upper right, and a star is in the lower right corner. I'm sure it's a common marking for the Black Widow, but I'm stuck.
Thanks,
John 05/30/2000 @ 16:15 [ref: 252] |
