James W. Swayze Kingman, AZ | The Other comment is correct, after Piper bought Taylor out he would naturally have sent out service bulletins for the Taylor Cubs. 03/07/2007 @ 07:48 [ref: 15804] |
James W. Swayze Kingman, AZ | Piper built the E2, F2, H2 and the J2

Bill Shaw , OH | NTSB website is showing a Piper e2 number n2122 crashing in New York on june 2 2005. I had not ever heard of a Piper E2 before either. 06/18/2005 @ 22:27 [ref: 10515] |
Rennie Glen Beicker Seguin, TX | 12.02.01 There is no such thing as a Piper E2, there is a Piper J 2. I am curious how such a mistake could be made. I am also curious why the J 2 is not listed. The J 2 is a Taylor and Piper aircraft whereas the E2 is a Taylor aircraft. The Taylor E2 had either a A40-2 or 3 engine, a 37 horsepower engine. The Piper J2 had a A40-4 which is 37 horsepower or A40-5 which is a twin ignition 40 horsepower engine. I have the last J2 built at Bedford, PA when the factory burned. The next production was at Lockhaven, PA. It came with no brakes and tail skids. Also had no side windows. It was a bare minimum aircraft. Has 903 total hours. 12/02/2001 @ 23:34 [ref: 3760] |
