Tom Glass fredericksburg, VA | I had 162517 "the eight ball" ( named after my uncle's B-17) in HMH-464 90-94. I guess tiny got it when i left and took it on the grady mission. David Hansen Jacksonville, NC | 20 Years flying the shitter. Retired from USMC in 2005 and now still working with the Super Stallion doing IMDS in New River. HMH-462 in 86-88, HMH-466 88-91, HMH-461 92-95 and HMT-302 95-05. 07/22/2008 @ 06:11 [ref: 22208] |
Wendell Busbee , SC | I WAS ASSIGNED AS THE NCOIC METAL SHOP IN DECEMBER 1981, HMH-464.
HOW ARE YOU DOING ROBBO, HOW IS THE HOFFMAN HUNT CLUB GOING, HAVE YOU KEPT IN TOUCH WITH THE REST OF THE PLANK OWNERS OF 464.

Pete Howard Colorado Springs, CO | Miss the great days of working in the Wolfpack with all those GREAT Marines. Miss the camaraderie. But I am working with a Marine who was in the Wolfpack, Mark Study!
Looking forward to seeing how the new CH-53K turns out. I hope all the Marines in the Wolfpack are doing great. Looking for info on Hudson and Parker lost touch with them.

Wayne Howell Newnan, GA | I've been working big commercial jet avionics for years now, but nothing beats working on the 53's. I was in HMH-466 from 90-92. Semper Fi! 11/23/2007 @ 23:57 [ref: 18650] |
\"Chunk\" , FL | I was one of the last Crew Chief's in Tustin. Closed down during our '98 pump to Oki. 5 funnest and grueling years of my short life so far! Fly in the Coast Guard now. Not near 'fly hard' as the Wolfpack. The 53 makes or breaks you, testing your will to overcome many obstacles. The "Shitter" also creates many bonds of tight friendship, some I still talk to today as my 'brothers'. 08/01/2007 @ 22:44 [ref: 17413] |
Kevin Schuler Long Beach, CA | I was with 466 from 88-93 with half the guys on this list, along with tourville, herndon, gottlob, shaheen, bud brown(both). I was able to go to stratford and pick up 162478 new. What a great job to crewchief one of these birds. Best time of my life. It was great to find this web site. 07/12/2007 @ 08:57 [ref: 17071] |
Robert (ROBBO) Ward Fairlee, VT | I am a plank owner at HMH-464 when it stood up in 1981. The first fleet delivery aircraft was 161184. I did FOT&E Quantico with 161183. My last trip was with 464 in 91 (Desert Shield/Storm). I really miss that big, greasy, Green Flying Machine. 06/21/2007 @ 07:35 [ref: 16902] |
Derek C Canute Sanford, NC | I was with the Wolfpack from 1990 to 1992 and deployed to Desert Storm with them. It's hard to believe it's been that long ago! I truly mis working on the Super Stallion! I've had opportunities a couple of years ago to get back up close to them while visiting my brother at MCAS New River. Just the smell of hydraulic brought back a flood of memories. And seeing names like Dusty, Sedlar and the rest of ya'll out there; if you guys read this give me a yell through e-mail.

John Philpot LaFollette, TN | I worked on CH-53Es with Sedlar, Elam, Dusty Hawkins and many more great guys from 88-93. Good aircraft but takes a whole lot of man hours to maintain. Semper Fi. 05/08/2007 @ 10:32 [ref: 16433] |
