| David Hatcher Enterprise, AL | The Army Aviation Museum staff has told me that the Sopwith Camel on display is a "composite" aircraft. That is, it is made of parts collected over the years from different sources but all are authentic Sopwith Camel parts. Of course it would be impossible to maintain 100% original parts on any aircraft, let alone a WW1 fighter.

| James H. White Washington, MI | There is also a display of the Camel in the Naval Aviation museum in Pensacola Florida (Home of the Blue Angels). Also displayed, is a Fokker D.VII, one of the foes of pilots of the Camel. I met LeClair Bissell, daughter of Clayton Bissell who gave me a lot of insight into her father who was a WWI ace, pilot of a Camel, who later became special assisstant to Billy Mitchell, Commander of the 10th Air Force and nemisis of Claire Chenault of the famous Flying Tigers (AVG). | Jeffrey Cheshire, CT | Hi i just finished makeing a model of the sopwith camel F.1 and it was a little challenging but when i finished it is really eye appealing and is a good replica of the pictures and of the real plane. I arrived at this site becasue i am now making a biography for the plane. This is a very good site that has a lot of facts about the camel.
