J. Daniel Bragg Calgary, AB | I don't know if you are aware that there is a full-size, accurate, to-the-plans Triplane at the Aerospace Museum in Calgary. It is dedicated to S/L Alfred Williams Carter of the Royal; Naval Air Service's Naval 10 Squadron. Carter was the Flight Commander of 'A' Flight at the same time that Raymond Collishaw was F/C of 'B', or 'Black Flight'. Carter is credited with 17 victories, four of them in Teiplane N6302, which is the number of the Triplane at Calgary. It is also in Naval 10's 'A' Flight colour of red ('B' Flight was Black and 'C' Flight was blue). Carter was born in Calgary before the turn of the century and was instruental in starting the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. He was a good friend of most of the Canadian WW1 aces and a true gentleman. I had the pleasure of meeting his son and daughter and came away from the dedication sure that the Museum had made the correct choice.
