As a young man going through A&P school at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA back in 1968, I had the pleasure of meeting the original restorer of NC663K. Mr. Bob Penny had contracted the services of Harold Dickey to do the sheet metal work on the plane. This guy's skills in forming sheetmetal were truly amazing. I was able to assist Mr. Dickey with some of the metal work on this aircraft. I got drafted into the Army before the project was completed and never got a ride in it. Perhaps that dream will come true sometime. I hope the current owner, Ben Scott takes care of this treasure.

Hello, fellow pilots!

The Stearman is quite a fun biplane to fly. With every turn,
you just have to use both the alerons & yaw (rudder).

On Aug 12, 2000, Addison took me up in this biplane to give
me a FREE intro flight, even though my mother offered him
$70 for him to take me up. I have pictures of me flying, but
they are not available for this site...

Now a junior a CV High School, I am looking forward to play
a few pieces to him on my 1987 Stradavarius violin, as a
way of thanks.

Pieces to play:

Bach's Gavotte in G minor
& Concerti fur zwei violinen en D moll

Maybe someday when I am a pilot for Southwest Airlines,
I'll be introducing HIM!

See you pilots later!

And have a terrific day!!!!
