Gents...time out! I think you are talking two different birds here. I think the "43B" was a "never-built" R/C attack missile version of the airfraft-not "manned". First launch vehicle was supposed to be a "Betty", but plans called for ramp-launching "43B's" from coastal locations. The manned "kamikaze" could only go so far, personnel-wise.

Is this the surviving example that was first on display inside the Arts and Industries Building in April 1948?
I refer others to the article: "Mission of No Return", Magazine Unknown, Pages 40-52. I have photostat of article that has three-view of the jet-powered "22" version.
