Richard Reed Seattle, WA | There's an RU-8D spook airplane on display across the street from the NSA at Fort GG Meade in Maryland, right off the Wash-Bal Parkway. It's co-located with a spook C-130 and a spook A3D.
The U-8 is done up in a slick black paint job, and has all kinds of antennas haging off it. The three-airplane park is a memorial to airmen who perished while spooking.

Was with the 138th Anv Co in Danang. the aircraft was used for direction finding. loaded with radio gear we would fly around, identify a target using their raido call, all in morse code, and get a fix on them. one of these aircraft is on display at Ft.
