Th C-131B that was displayed at the Air Force Armament Museum at Eglin Air Force Base, 53-7821, c/n 273, was removed from display in early 2008 for some restoral work. Although the staff at the museum expected that the Samaritan would be returned to the grounds, a decision higher up the chain of command decided that the aircraft was not suited to the museum's collection, and the airframe has been bailed to the U.S. Navy EOD School located at Eglin for training purposes. The airframe has reportedly been moved to a location on the Eglin reservation where the EOD has facilities.

The caption for the aircraft on the wet ramp states
"with air samplers". The pods mounted on the underside
of the fuselage are APUs. One provided dedicated AC
power and the other DC to whatever electrical requirements
were needed by the equipment loaded for the particular
mission.

The C131B on the rainy ramp displays the symbol/shield (behind pilots window)of the Aeronautical Systems Division (ASD), likely out of Wright Patterson AFB. Although most of the ASD also had painted orange panels/stripes on them they are not on this aircraft. A old picture.
