Hi fellow shipmates! I was stationed with VS28 in 1973-74, went on the Indy cruise and spent some time in Souda Bay Crete. I am looking for anyone that may have been on the Indy or with the \"Gamblers\" during that spell. I had a fire years ago and lost all photos and would love to get some to replacements to rekindle the memories. thank You guy and keep your head above water.

I was stationed at NAS Cecil Field from March 66 to July 68.I was an AG2 weather guesser attached to Cecil Field Metro. I had a real good tour at NAS Cecil Field, had plenty of great memories. I remember fellow weather guessers Joe Baumann, Robby Robichard and Chief Jim Morrisey. Would love to hear from any of them at the above E Mail address if they are still around.God Bless our Country, our Navy and all the good things they stand for.

NAS Cecil Base Personnel 1966 - 1969. CACO for the Forrestal Fire 29JUL67 and notification to next of kin. Lots of memories of Cecil. Master Chief Tom Fox, Lt Frailey, and what a crew they were. I left Cecil in Dec. 1969 as a PN1. God bless our Navy and our country.

I arrived at NAS Cecil field in the miile of 1982,and after a short training stay at VSSU joined my squadron, VS-24. The thoughts of my first arrival are still as fresh in my mind as if it happened yesterday, both the good and unfortunate.but an experience that would gladly do over.

The aircraft that were once on display here at Cecil Field were moved several years ago across town to NAS Jacksonville. There's not much out at Cecil to look at any more.

Fresh out of Pensacola in June of 1945 we went to Cecil field for training in the SB2C. Several months later we were ready to go to to carrier landing but the war was over and we were mustered out. Great memories of Cecil field. First day there a helldiver made in Çanada (Canadian Iron Works as I remmember) failed to pull out of a dive. Sort of a traumatic introdction to dive bombing.
