Bob Mounce Spokane, Washington | Fresh out of Pensacola in June of 1945 we went to Cecil field for training in the SB2C. Several months later we were ready to go to to carrier landing but the war was over and we were mustered out. Great memories of Cecil field. First day there a helldiver made in Çanada (Canadian Iron Works as I remmember) failed to pull out of a dive. Sort of a traumatic introdction to dive bombing. 07/28/2007 @ 14:18 [ref: 6190] |
