Verne C, Kirby Tavares, Florida | Past member of the Michigan Air Guard (Ssgt) 191st Combat Support Sq 1964-70. I have been to this museum several times. It is very nice and you can get next to the aircraft and in some cases into the planes. While on active duty,I met several sergeants who had been stationed at Selfridge AFB, all had nothing but good things to say about their time spent in Michigan and Selfridge. 04/27/2007 @ 12:54 [ref: 5873] |
Roger Botting Atlanta, Georgia | Great museum, aircraft are in great condition and placed for wonderful picture taking. If in the area then well worth the effort to make the visit 02/27/2007 @ 18:03 [ref: 5662] |

Joe Otlewski Commerce Township, Michigan | I was stationed at Selfridge from 1964 to 1968 and worked in PE, later changed to Life Support Specialist. I loved my job and quite often ask myself why I got out. I think it had to do with all the guys saying they were a short timer like it was the thing to do. I worked and ate with the pilots and their food was excellent. I worked with Charlie Hill, Brownie and several other great guys. The Dart was a great plane and I go to the museum quite often. Would be interested in talking to anyone that knew others in PE as I've forgotten many of their names. 09/19/2006 @ 07:48 [ref: 5277] |

Dale Williams Warren, Michigan | I just wanted to give Carol from North Carolina the correct spelling to Ypsilanti. She was looking for information about her Mother who as she wrote, worked at a shipyard at > Willow Run, Ipsalanti, MI. I hope the correct spelling will help. Good Luck.
My Father, Lt. Col. Charles Williams who flew everything there was to fly out of Selfridge, was a member of the Mach Buster Club, retired in 75, passed over on March 11, 2006. I would like to find out more information about him. He was very unassuming and the most I know is that he was one of the first MI pilots to break the sound barrier and that he was a commander of the 927 th Airlift Squadron. Most his pilots buddies have died as well but if any of you are out there, my hats off to you for being a part of what is now the greatest Air Force in the World! 03/31/2006 @ 11:24 [ref: 4929] |
