I was there soon after the Hawker Hurrican burned. All that was left were the cockpit and main gear legs. The Avro Lancaster was beautiful, the first I'd seen and I had been to Oshkosh, WI 3 times in the past. I saw a B-25 flying the same week near Ancaster.

Sadly, this is not the website to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Just type that into google and you'll be able to find the real website. The pricess are different too. They are $10 for adult, $9 for seiors, $6 for children above 6 and 5 and under are free.

I was looking for your gift shop website, and was inquiring about wether you have gift certificates on rides in one of the planes you have there.

Where is polish flag? Polish pilots where defending Great Brittain using their unic "five finger" fighting strategy. I was told that Poland was not part of The Brittish Commonwealth but I understand that also USA but that flag is exposed.

I would like to make everyone aware that this particular website is not the official site for the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. As well the information posted here was last updated in 2000 and therefore requires revision. The official CWHM website is www.warplane.com You will find all the up-to-date information, contacts, event listings, gift shop sales etc. at www.warplane.com

I have a booklet that is dated June, 1910 that is about George Davidson's Gyropter. Is is a promotional booklet that was used to get financial backing for his craft. There are pictures of the moveable shed at Taplow where the machine was being built. There are also pictures of the construction staff and slso detailed diagrams of the craft. In 1984 I sent information about this booklet to the Smithsonian Air and Space museum and they wanted me to send it to them so that they could include it in their rare memorabilia exhibition. I would prefer to keep it here in Canada, however. Would you please tell me if it is valuable, both financially as well as historically? Yours, Susan
